In the task of carrying on the family tradition, Giulia and Maria continue the search for new delicacies, staying true to their grandmother’s cooking.
Hotel Restaurant Carla Failela in Valli del Pasubio
Grandparents Bruno and Agnese, with great-grandmother Maria opened in 1952 the “Locanda Bar da Bruno” immediately a meeting point for villagers and others, thanks to a family atmosphere, simple dishes and provided with the public telephone “No. 2” in Valli and the only television set in the hamlet.
In 1972 Agnese and daughter Carla tackled a major expansion of the hotel facility.
Restaurant “da Carla” was renovated in 2004, following a radical renovation desired by Carla and daughters.
In the task of carrying on the family tradition, Giulia and Maria continue the search for new delicacies, staying true to their grandmother’s cooking. Recently in memory of the founding family, the name has been changed to “Carla Failela,” deriving from Giacomo, Carla’s great-grandfather, called Failela because he was considered by the townspeople to be as cunning as a marten.
